Work in this collection are often shaped through working on location en plein air and responding to a specific moment in time. While some pieces may be completed partially or entirely in the studio, my focus remains on preserving the immediacy of the experience rather than refining it away.
These works are intended to feel open and alive, capturing a sense of place and atmosphere without overworking the decisions that give them their energy.

Studio Collection
As part of my Studio Collection, the work you see here reflects an intentional design process—one that allows me to refine my artistic voice and attend to the details that quietly shape the work as a whole.
Paintings in this collection are often developed through repeated engagement with a subject, sometimes returning to the same place multiple times. While ideas may originate from a fleeting moment outdoors or from direct observation, each piece is shaped over time with careful attention to structure, balance, and emotional weight.
Regardless of its origin, this work was finalized in my studio, allowing space for compositional editing and refinement so the painting stands confidently on its own- with a sense that the world within has its own story to tell.

Studio paintings aren’t limited to a specific standard sizing like my other collections. Generally I will try to keep these no smaller than 11×14 and no bigger than 20×24.

Original Studies
My original pastel studies are created as part of my ongoing practice and exploration of color, light, and atmosphere.
Studies are intentionally fast, exploratory works. They are not developed to the level of finished paintings and may include simplified structure, unresolved areas, or visible experimentation. Each piece represents a specific moment of observation or learning rather than a fully refined composition.
These works are offered at a lower price to reflect their role as practice pieces, and to make original artwork more accessible.
